I started using the La Roche Posay Effaclar toner about a week ago, and from the very first application, I noticed a burning sensation on my face. Over the past two days, the reaction has worsened—especially around my mouth and nose area, where I now have intense itching, dryness, and peeling skin.
As soon as I realized the irritation was increasing, I immediately stopped using the product. However, the side effects have not gone away, and my skin continues to feel extremely uncomfortable. I purchased the toner from a pharmacy with an invoice (Invoice/Order No: X351895006), so this is a genuine product and not an unauthorized seller issue.
Until now, I have not contacted La Roche Posay customer service, but I feel that such a reaction should not occur with a dermatological skincare product marketed for sensitive and acne-prone skin. I expected safety and effectiveness, but instead, I experienced irritation and damage.
Given this experience, I am requesting either a full refund or a product exchange. I also believe the company should take this complaint seriously, investigate possible formulation issues, and ensure better safety transparency for customers.
