On February 16, I purchased La Roche-Posay Effaclar facial cleansing gel from a pharmacy based on my dermatologist’s recommendation. Because it was doctor-recommended, I trusted the brand and the product. I used it only at night before going to bed and washed my face with it a total of two times.
From the very first use, I experienced intense burning, redness, and extreme dryness on my face. My skin is now tight, very dry, almost like it has formed a crust, and there is a constant burning sensation. Even after several days, the redness and burning have not gone away—my skin feels completely damaged. Despite paying a significant amount for this product, instead of helping my skin, it caused harm.
So far, I have not contacted the pharmacy or the brand. Since this product was recommended by a doctor, I feel especially disappointed and misled. I request that La Roche-Posay provide an urgent explanation regarding this issue, offer guidance and support for the burning and redness on my skin, and refund the amount I paid for the product. I also ask that the product be taken back and thoroughly examined.
