Kosmos Schengen Application Rejected Under Article 10 Despite Complete Documents

We applied for a tourist Schengen visa as a family through Kosmos. Our hotel reservations were in place—we had two separate hotel bookings—and we were planning to travel to Greece in our own vehicle. Even though all of our documents were complete, our application was rejected on the grounds of Article 10 stamped into our passports.

Prior to and during the application, no specific missing documents or issues regarding our paperwork were mentioned to us; nevertheless, we were ultimately met with a rejection decision. From our perspective, despite our hotel reservations and itinerary being clear, it feels as though an arbitrary refusal was issued as if they simply did not believe we would stay in Greece. A substantial fee of €90 per person, along with additional service charges, is collected for every application; the total sum we paid for our family application represents a significant amount for us.

I believe we have been wronged by having the visa evaluation process end in this manner after collecting such high fees. I demand a full refund of the visa and service fees—which we feel were paid unfairly—for all members of our family who applied. Furthermore, I expect a clear explanation regarding the specific, concrete grounds on which our application was rejected, and for applicants not to be victimized like this in similar situations.
