On November 23, I placed an order (KLS1000714950) on kiehls.com for Ultra Facial Cream (125 ml) and Midnight Recovery Concentrate (50 ml). Upon checking the barcode dates, I discovered both products were manufactured in 2022, with expiration periods of only 8 months and 12 months remaining, respectively.
This conflicts with the product labels, which state that the Ultra Facial Cream is usable for 12 months after opening and the Midnight Recovery Concentrate for 18 months. The significantly shorter shelf lives misled me as a consumer, as the products were not accurately represented at the time of sale.
When I contacted customer service, I was told replacements were not possible. However, under consumer protection laws, I am entitled to a refund or replacement for products sold with misleading information.
I am requesting immediate replacement of these products with ones that meet the advertised standards. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I trust Kiehl’s will uphold its reputation and address this matter responsibly.
