Kia Cerato 2023 Engine Warranty Cancelled Without Prior Notice by Service
I bought a brand‑new 2023 Kia Cerato 1.6 benzine and had all my processes carried out through Malatya Nergiz Otomotiv. While calling the service for my annual maintenance, I was shocked to learn from a newly hired staff member that my engine warranty had been cancelled. In the first year I did not have the maintenance done because I had not completed 15,000 km. During that period, the service, which constantly called me insistently for insurance, never informed me that skipping this maintenance would result in my vehicle being excluded from engine warranty coverage. I was in frequent and close contact with the staff at the service, yet no one mentioned that the warranty would be cancelled if I did not have this maintenance done. I was explicitly told on the phone only now that “since maintenance was not done for 1 year, your vehicle was excluded from the service” and this rule had never been explained to me before. I also experienced disappointment at the time of purchase. The free battery that was promised when I bought the vehicle was later denied, and I had difficulty even getting a simple set of floor mats. This has led me to feel that I was misled and trapped in the sales and after‑sales process. It is unreasonable to think that anyone would deliberately skip maintenance just to save the fee and willingly throw away a 5‑year warranty, especially on a zero‑kilometer vehicle. I request that my vehicle’s engine warranty be reinstated and that the warranty be continued under the original conditions, as I was never clearly informed that missing one annual maintenance would completely remove my vehicle from engine warranty coverage. I kindly ask you to review my case, take into account the lack of information provided by the service, and urgently resolve this unfair situation in my favor.
