I Still Have Not Received My Baristaroma A5 Refund From Karaca
I purchased the Karaca Baristaroma A5 coffee machine from the Karaca app store, and due to a malfunction, I delivered it to the authorized Karaca service center in Ordu. Since the product couldn't be repaired there, it was sent to the main service center, which also declared it irreparable and decided to issue a refund. That’s where the problems began. On 08/05/2025, I was told that the refund had been processed and that I would be informed once the payment was completed, supposedly within two days. When no payment was made, I called customer service and was told it would be processed within 10 business days. After that period passed without payment, I contacted them again and was told the refund couldn’t be processed because my credit card couldn’t be reached, and they asked for my IBAN. I provided my IBAN both verbally and in writing, but still, no payment was made. Another representative told me I needed to wait an additional 10 business days. With public holidays in between, this turned into a 20-day wait—and still, no refund. When I called yet again, they said the relevant departments had been informed and that the payment would take another 10 business days. At this point, should I laugh or cry? I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve called, only to receive copy-paste responses. Not once have they called me back. In fact, despite not calling me at all, they sent me three separate “we tried to call you but couldn’t reach you” messages, two of which were on the final day. It has now been 40 days since I was told the refund was issued on 09/05/2025, and still, I haven’t received anything. If Karaca put the same effort into customer satisfaction as they do into delaying or avoiding refunds, they might live up to their name. Even if the refund is made now, the brand has completely lost its image in my eyes. My next step will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and pursuing legal action for both material and emotional damages.
The payment was made one day after the complaint. The fact that the payment was made did not convince me about trusting the brand. After all, they only fulfilled a legal obligation. They did not call even once to apologize or give an excuse regarding the issue. Because they have nothing to say. They deliberately and knowingly delayed the payment for 40 days. I hope the inconvenience they caused was worth what they gained. Those who are planning to shop should keep this in mind so they do not experience the same grievance. Unfortunately, the brand no longer has any value in my eyes.
