When you go to the website to make your CV for the first time, you see a lot of templates that look like they are free to use. When you click the "Download" button, you're greeted with contracts and prices you didn't expect. You feel lied to because the costs weren't mentioned ahead of time. You spend hours carefully entering your information and keeping it up to date, only to be surprised at the last step. The trouble doesn't end there, though. You are automatically signed up for a $35-a-month plan for which you did not know or agree, that’s what happened to me, charged for a subscription I didn’t ask for, even though I haven't logged in or used the site's services other than that one time. This lack of clarity about costs and the subsequent unauthorised subscription charges made me feel even more betrayed and angry. these kinds of platforms take advanteg of us, by not being clear about prices right away.
