Roomba i7+ Stopped Working After Being Unplugged for a Month

I would like to share a complaint regarding an issue I experienced with my Roomba i7+ robot vacuum approximately six months ago. Since I was going abroad for one month, I unplugged the device from the power outlet and left home. When I returned, the device would no longer charge and would not work at all. I took it to an electrical engineer in Fatsa, Ordu, who told me that unplugging the device had caused its main control system to reset and that the chip needed to be replaced. I paid approximately $41 for this repair. After the repair, I was also warned, “If you are going to be away from home for an extended period, do not unplug the device.”

When I am going to be away from home for a long period, I want the device to remain safely shut down without leaving the charging station to clean, without having to remain plugged in, and without damaging the battery. The fact that unplugging the device caused such a serious malfunction and resulted in a significant repair cost caused me considerable inconvenience and financial loss.

I request clear and official information on how the device should be shut down or what settings should be used when it will not be used for an extended period. If this issue is caused by the device's design, I request that it be addressed through a software update or another appropriate solution. I also ask that measures be taken to ensure that users do not experience similar problems and unexpected repair costs in the future.
