If you received a suspicious message claiming to be from India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) asking for a PAN update, do not click any links, reply, or share details, as IPPB does not ask for sensitive information via SMS or WhatsApp. Treat it as a potential phishing attempt and delete the message immediately.
To protect your account, log in only through the official IPPB/DakPay app or ippbonline.bank.in and check whether any PAN update is actually required.
If in doubt, contact IPPB customer care directly using numbers from the official website, not from the message.
You should also change your IPPB/UPI PIN and app password, enable app notifications, and monitor recent transactions for anything unusual.
If you have experienced a similar issue, please feel free to share. You can also file a complaint on Xolvie.
