I own a 2019 Hyundai Kona Style with 96,000 km on it. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I encountered a diesel particulate filter (DPF) fault while on a long drive. When I returned to Ankara, I took it to the service center. After extensive inspections, they replaced the DPF.
But not long after, the same issue happened again, again while driving long distance. I brought the car back to service, and they replaced the DPF a second time, along with the glow plugs and oxygen sensors. That seemed to solve the issue—temporarily.
Now, the exact same DPF error has returned yet again, and this time, the warranty has expired. The service center is asking for a very high fee for repair. I’m now questioning whether this issue is normal for a vehicle with only 96,000 km, or if it's a chronic fault or factory defect.
Hyundai, I’ve followed all the rules, serviced my car regularly, and now I’m stuck in a loop of repeated failures. If others are experiencing the same issue, this may point to a widespread defect. I’m calling on other affected owners to contact me and share their experience.
