Hyundai i20 DCT Transmission Failed Three Times Before Warranty Expired
The DCT transmission in my Hyundai i20 has malfunctioned a total of three times before the warranty period expired. Today, I encountered the same issue again and took the vehicle to the authorized Hyundai service center, Çorum Karataş.
About a year ago, the transmission problem was repaired under warranty. However, when I went to the service center today, I was told that the transmission that had previously been replaced under warranty did not come with a new two-year warranty. For this reason, they said the repair would not be covered and that I had to pay $661.
Even though I repeatedly explained the situation, I was forced to pay this charge, which I believe is unfair. To report the issue and the hardship I experienced, I also contacted Hyundai customer service, but despite my call, I did not receive any response.
I feel even more wronged due to several factors: the transmission failing three times before the warranty expired, being charged a high fee again for a part that had already been replaced under warranty, and not receiving any response from customer service. I request a clear explanation of the warranty period that applies to the transmission previously replaced under warranty, a refund of the $661 I unfairly paid, and a permanent and reliable solution to this recurring transmission problem.
