Hyatt Regency Ataköy Still Hasn't Refunded My Payment
On October 23, 2025, I called Hyatt Regency Ataköy directly and made a reservation over the phone. I paid $192 by credit card at the time of booking.
During the reservation process, I was never informed that smoking was prohibited in every room at the hotel. When I arrived to check in, I specifically asked whether smoking was permitted, and only then was I told that no smoking was allowed anywhere in the hotel. Because this important information had never been disclosed during the booking process, I canceled my reservation before checking in or using the room. At that time, I was assured that my payment would be refunded.
However, 23 days have now passed, and I still have not received my refund. Every time I contact the hotel, I am told that the refund is delayed because it is waiting for internal company approvals and signatures. I was never informed about such a process when I made the reservation or the payment, and there was no third-party booking agency involved.
I never stayed at the hotel or used any of its services. It is unacceptable that a hotel of Hyatt Regency's reputation has still not completed the refund of $192 after all this time. I request the immediate return of my payment, along with a written explanation, an apology for the inconvenience, and appropriate compensation for the unnecessary delay.
