Hotels.com Reservation Not Found at Hotel Despite Full Payment

I made a reservation for Leila Mansion Hotel in Tekirdağ via Hotels.com on 12 May and fully paid the accommodation fee of ₺2,992 by credit card at the time of booking. My Hotels.com reservation/confirmation number is 72074260696981. On 13 May, when I went to the hotel to check in in the evening, I was told that there was no reservation under my name. Since I needed to stay that night, I had to pay ₺2,750 again directly to the hotel in order to be able to check in. Because of this situation, I both lost time at check-in and had to make a second payment, even though I had already paid through Hotels.com. I request that Hotels.com clearly inform customers in advance about such situations and possible problems (for example, whether the reservation has actually reached the hotel, how to verify it, and what to do if there is a mismatch), so that other customers do not experience the same issue I faced.
