Hotels.com Cancelled My Reservation for Non-Payment Despite "Pay at Check-In" Option

I booked a stay at Değirmenburnu Residence Bodrum through the Hotels.com app for December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025. I specifically chose this reservation because the app offered a "Pay at Check-In" option. However, just three days before my stay, the reservation was cancelled, citing "payment could not be processed" as the reason.
When I tried to rebook, I found that the price had doubled, adding to my frustration. Hotels.com customer service is impossible to reach, as the automated system keeps redirecting me to irrelevant options. The hotel itself showed no concern for the situation.
I demand an explanation and a resolution to reinstate my reservation at the original price. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I expect better service from both Hotels.com and the property.
