Hostelworld Alessandro Palace & Bar Reservation Canceled Without Notice, No Refund Issued

I booked two rooms via the Hostelworld app for Alessandro Palace & Bar in Rome, intending to stay from July 15-17. One room was a female-only 6-bed dorm, and the other was a mixed 6-bed dorm, both for two people. The total payment was supposed to be €226.65, yet Hostelworld only charged me €31.90, resulting in my reservation being canceled without my knowledge. Upon arrival, I was told my booking was canceled, leaving me without a room and no assistance from Hostelworld. Despite not initiating the cancellation, I have not received a refund. This app failed to inform me of the cancellation, causing major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. I demand an immediate refund from Hostelworld, or I will escalate this to consumer rights authorities.
