Hoover Overcharged Me for Faulty Dishwasher Repairs and Gave No Solution
About 6 months ago, the Hoover dishwasher at my mother's house broke down. We contacted the service for a part replacement and paid ₺2850 for the repair. Soon after, my parents had to leave Istanbul for health reasons and only returned this week. The machine, which was not used in the meantime, failed again. We called the service, and the same team came. They claimed the same parts needed replacing. When we reminded them that these parts had already been replaced 6 months ago, they reacted with a rude and absurd attitude. Despite doing nothing, they charged us ₺650. When we contacted Hoover technical support, they were unhelpful and gave us scripted responses. Our machine is still broken, and the total cost is now about ₺3000. Hoover Turkey seems to profit by repeatedly replacing faulty parts. We expected an apology and a proper resolution, but instead, we faced more excuses. Two days later, customer service contacted us but provided no solution. They insisted that the part’s warranty had expired after 6 months. I explained that my family had been away due to cancer treatment and asked how an unused part could fail. Their response was that we had to pay again for both the service and the part. I am ready to throw this useless machine and its equally useless parts in the trash. Hoover and Hoover Turkey have been a huge regret. This is the first time I have experienced customer service that seems hostile to its customers. I want to emphasize that the word "service" is meaningless here since no actual service has been provided.
