I am using an HONOR Magic7 Lite BRP-NX1M, purchased from Crnogorski Telekom in late 2024, and the device is still stuck on software version 8.0.0.136(C433E4R2P1). Since the day I bought the phone, I have not received a single update, including security patches. The “check for updates” / tryout update function also does not work and always shows that there is no newer version available, even though MagicOS 9 should be available for this model. I first contacted Crnogorski Telekom about this problem, and they informed me that updates are not locked on their side and that Honor does not block updates either. They told me the situation would be investigated and that I would be called back, but I was never contacted again, and the phone is still running the same old, buggy operating system without any security updates since 2024. I am asking that the OTA update to MagicOS 9 be activated and delivered to my HONOR Magic7 Lite BRP-NX1M as soon as possible so that I can use an up‑to‑date, secure, and stable system on a device that I purchased recently and expect to be properly supported.

I am filing a complaint against Crnogorski Telekom regarding the lack of software and security updates for the Honor Magic7 Lite device I purchased from them in Podgorica, Montenegro at the end of summer 2025. The phone is locked on MagicOS 8.0 and has not received a single update since it has been in my possession. The last security patch shown in the system information is from December 2024, which I find completely unacceptable for a device I bought much later and use on their network.

Because the device has not received any updates, the current MagicOS 8.0 build is full of bugs and the phone is often practically unusable. Beyond usability problems, I am seriously concerned about my privacy and security, because outdated software without security patches exposes me to unnecessary risks. In my view, this situation is contrary to the obligations under the EU Sale of Goods Directive (Directive 2019/771), which requires the seller to provide the necessary updates to keep the device functional and secure during the expected period of use.

I have already contacted Crnogorski Telekom and Honor support about this issue, but instead of a clear solution I received unsatisfactory and evasive answers, which did not resolve anything and only increased my frustration. I expect Crnogorski Telekom, as the seller, to ensure that my Honor Magic7 Lite can be updated at least to MagicOS 9.0 without further delay, especially given that MagicOS 10.0 has already been announced. I request that my device be brought to a current, supported software version without additional cost to me, so that it is stable, usable, and protected with up‑to‑date security patches.
