HBO Max Charged My Debit Card $4 While My Account Was Suspended

My Max (HBO Max) account had been suspended due to non-payment, and since I was no longer planning to use the app, I had uninstalled it from my phone. Despite this, last night on August 5, 2026, at 11:43 PM, an automatic monthly charge of $4 was deducted from my debit card without my knowledge or consent.

I am a student, and this amount is a significant sum for me, causing me financial hardship. I do not accept this charge being drawn without prior notice while my account was suspended and I was not actively using the service. I had previously paid for a single month's use with the same card, but since I did not wish to continue, I deleted the app, after which my account went into suspended status. Despite this, having money automatically withdrawn as soon as funds were deposited into my account has put me in a very difficult position.

I can see in my bank records that the charge was processed from my VakıfBank debit card. The email address linked to my Max account is e***********@gmail.com. I demand that this unauthorized $4 charge be refunded to me as soon as possible and that my subscription be permanently canceled.
