I Face a Hankook Tire Defect Where All Four Tires on My Hyundai i10 Have Broken Steel Cords
I purchased my Hyundai i10 in July 2023, but I only started driving it in April 2024. Despite always having the car serviced at an authorized Hyundai service center, I was recently informed that all four Hankook tires on my vehicle are damaged — the steel cords have broken, making them unsafe and unusable.
If this issue had occurred with a single tire, I could understand it being my responsibility. However, having the same problem in all four tires clearly points to a manufacturing defect. The authorized service representative told me that the tires would not be replaced under warranty, which is unacceptable for such a serious and widespread fault.
I am requesting that the defective Hankook tires be replaced under warranty immediately. As this issue clearly stems from a production or quality defect, it should be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty without question.
