Green Motion Refused My Rental After I Declined Extra Insurance
About two weeks in advance, I reserved a Volkswagen Polo economy-class vehicle through Obilet from the Green Motion Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport location for the period of July 3–7 and paid for the reservation in full. I met all of the rental requirements specified by the company, so I expected to pick up the vehicle without any issues.
When I arrived to collect the car, the sales representative tried to sell me optional insurance coverage. After I declined the additional insurance, I was suddenly told that I did not meet the rental requirements and that the vehicle would not be released to me. The representative ended the transaction without providing any clear explanation. No additional payment or security deposit was requested, but the company still refused to honor my reservation.
Because I was unable to receive the vehicle under reservation 17b415803310, despite having prepaid for it, my entire vacation was disrupted and I experienced significant inconvenience. It appeared that the rental was denied simply because I declined to purchase an optional add-on.
I request that this incident be thoroughly investigated and that I receive a clear written explanation for why my confirmed reservation was not honored. I also request appropriate compensation for the time, disruption, and inconvenience I experienced, along with a formal apology from the company.
