Global Blue Has Not Paid My €1,000 Tax Free Refund
After making purchases from several brands in Vienna, Austria, including Gucci, Prada, UGG, Moschino, and Longchamp, I followed all of Global Blue’s instructions regarding the Tax Free refund process. Since I returned to Türkiye from Vienna by road, I went to the Global Blue office at Sabiha Gökçen Airport to submit my receipts. I was told there that I needed to send the customs-stamped receipts by courier to Global Blue’s head office in Nişantaşı, Teşvikiye. I therefore sent these documents to the company in two separate courier shipments on September 2 and September 8, following the instructions I was given.
I am expecting a Tax Free refund of approximately €1,000, and I also uploaded some of the receipts to the Global Blue app by scanning their QR codes. Despite this, I have still not received any payment, nor have I received even the slightest update about the status of my claim. I have repeatedly tried to contact Global Blue by email, phone, and through every other available communication channel, but each time I have ended up speaking with a different person without receiving a clear answer. I cannot reach customer service, and none of the emails I have sent have received a response.
I sent my original customs-stamped receipts to Global Blue by courier in good faith, trusting the company, and I am now unable to access either my receipts or the tax refund I am entitled to. Since this involves a substantial refund amount, I am experiencing significant financial inconvenience. I request that all of the Tax Free receipts I sent by courier be located and processed, that my expected refund be paid to me without further delay, and that I receive a clear written explanation of the status of my claim. I would also like to state that if my receipts cannot be located and my refund is not paid, I am considering taking legal action against the company through my attorney.
