Lost Genshin Impact Progress After PS Network and Hoyoverse Merge

While playing Genshin Impact, the game paused, and a timeout message appeared, prompting me to log back in. When I entered my email, I received a notification about merging my PS Network account with Hoyoverse, which I mistakenly approved. As a result, my game progress reset, and everything I had was lost. When I logged back in with my original account, it started me from the beginning. It seems like I now have two accounts with the same email, or the server changed. Even the game saves on my PS4 aren’t accessible. How can I fix this? Please help—I’m on the verge of losing it after losing all that progress.
