I have been using Garnier Color Naturals 7.1 Ash Blonde hair dye for many years with great satisfaction. However, for the past 3–4 months, the products labeled “newly updated formula” have been causing serious problems. The dye is now much thicker and darker than before; I constantly have to dilute it, and because it clumps and hardens, it’s nearly impossible to apply evenly. Coloring my hair has turned into a frustrating nightmare.
In the past, my hair was easy to comb after dyeing, thanks to the keratin-enriched formula, and I didn’t need any conditioner. Now, the keratin has been removed, and I’m forced to use conditioner after every application. Even the conditioner included in the box is now too thick and hard to spread through my hair. I don’t understand why the product formula was changed so drastically.
I purchased the products from A101, and the box codes are 3 600542419857 and 36Y200. When I contacted Garnier customer service, I was told to contact the retailer instead, and they only asked about storage conditions, offering no real solution.
I still have around 10 unopened boxes of this dye, but I don’t want to use them. I expect Garnier to replace these boxes with the previous formula that worked well for me. I kindly ask for this issue to be resolved and for the brand to address these changes that have negatively affected loyal customers.
