Farfetch Refuses Refund After Sandals Stuck in Customs for Weeks

I bought sandals from the Farfetch website. Since the customs fees were excessive, I wanted to return them. However, the product has been stuck in customs for weeks, and when I email the site, they tell me that the sandals could be confiscated, in which case they won't be able to issue me a refund. They also state that if they're not confiscated and the product is returned, there will still be fees and I'll have to pay them. There's been no progress for weeks—I guess my money is gone.
