I submitted a support ticket to Faceit under the number 8151986, requesting help with my account. The reply I received included a suspicious-looking link: https://www.faceit.com/?steam-auth=1, asking me to sign in with my Steam account. Alongside that, they sent a YouTube.com video link — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb7BGzyhofU — as a guide.
What made me extremely suspicious was the fact that the video wasn’t uploaded on Faceit’s official YouTube channel, and the comments were disabled. That alone raised red flags for me. I didn’t click or sign in through that link out of caution, fearing it could be a phishing attempt or a scam.
Has anyone else received such a response from Faceit when trying to recover an account after forgetting the email? This whole process feels very sketchy and unprofessional. Why wouldn’t Faceit host their own help videos on their verified channel? Why would they send a login link like that without proper validation?
Faceit, I need clear and verified instructions from official sources only. Please review this ticket, clarify your communication practices, and provide a safe, secure, and transparent way for users like me to recover their accounts.
