Incorrect Single-Person Reservation for 3 Guests on Expedia via Hotels

I made and paid for a reservation for 3 people through Expedia via Hotels, but it was booked for just one person. When I noticed this mistake and requested a correction on the same day, neither a refund was issued nor was my reservation adjusted for 3 people. Selling a room listed for 3 people as a single-person booking and not correcting the error is entirely misleading. After reviewing other complaints, I see that similar issues are common.
