EWA Charged £39 After Cancellation Through Paddle.com – Subscription Still Active
I purchased an EWA subscription via Paddle.com after clicking an Instagram advert and chose the App EWA Premium Max plan to prepare for a holiday. The app itself was effective and I used it without any issue. Toward the end of July 2026 I cancelled the subscription on the EWA website and again through Paddle.com, expecting that no further payments would be taken. Despite these cancellation actions, I was still charged afterwards, including a 39.00 GBP payment taken on 10 September 2026. Once I noticed that the charges were continuing, I immediately contacted support, explained that I had already cancelled and requested that they stop any further billing. I have also written to them multiple times, clearly and explicitly asking for my subscription to be cancelled and for written confirmation that no more payments will be taken, but I have sent back and forward without a clear resolution or escalation, which is making me very worried. I request that my EWA subscription via Paddle be cancelled immediately and written confirmation from Ewa that no further payments are charged to my account.
Hide details To: E Ewa Support Date: 18 September 2026, 10:15 Hi Team Throughout this conversation you have explicitly denied my requests to cancel any future payments, despite me having followed all instructions to formally delete the account and explicitly confirming this request in writing a number of times. Your communications are unclear and misleading and you are denying my request to cancel based on complex, unfair and hidden terms and conditions.. Your terms are not legally binding under section 62 and 65 of the UK consumer rights act 2015. I require explicit written confirmation that you have terminated my contract with EWA and stopped any future transactions for this service being charged to my account by midnight UK GMT time. I want to make it clear that as your terms and conditions are not legally binding and your operating outside of UK consumer law I will not be paying any additional charges beyond this point. Regards Sophie
