I purchased a Global Data 5 GB package from ESIM.io and started using it in Mexico on December 12. According to the offer, I was supposed to have 5 GB of data included in the package. When I activated it, I also had a separate balance of 7 USD in my account. Within just two days, after using only about 800 MB of data, my 7 USD balance dropped to zero. This means I was charged extra despite clearly not exceeding the 5 GB that was advertised with the package. I did not receive any clear explanation or warning that my separate balance would be consumed while I still had package data available. Based on this experience, I feel that the way ESIM.io handles data and balances usage is misleading and unfair, and I no longer trust the company. I am sharing this complaint to warn other users on the internet to be very cautious and, in my opinion, to stay away from this service.
