On November 18, I purchased Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition through Epic Games. Later, on December 12, I saw that the same game was made free for all users. I have never downloaded or installed the game, meaning I have not used it in any way since the day I purchased it.
I experienced a similar situation in the past and felt disadvantaged at that time as well. Back then, I did not contact Epic Games and only felt disappointed. This time, since I experienced the same frustration again, I decided to reach out to customer support.
I contacted Epic Games live support through their website and explained the situation in detail. However, they refused to issue a refund, citing only the 14-day refund policy. Despite the fact that I never used the game and that it was made completely free shortly after my purchase, no form of compensation was offered.
I believe I have been treated unfairly in this process. If a refund is not possible, I kindly request that a discount coupon or wallet credit close to the value of the game be added to my account. This would at least help compensate for my expense and prevent my trust in Epic Games from being damaged.
