Enuygun Imposes 30% Penalty on Car Rental Canceled Due to Expired License

I purchased a car rental service through Enuygun.com. When I arrived at the rental company's location on the reservation date to pick up the car, I was informed that the transaction had to be canceled because my driver's license validity had expired, and that the refund would be processed by Enuygun.com.

Upon calling Enuygun.com customer service regarding this issue, they stated that the refund would be processed with a 30% deduction on the $166 total fee, claiming that company policy dictates full refunds cannot be issued when a cancellation is caused by a customer-side error. The customer representative specifically justified this fee by stating it was "due to an error originating from you."

I fail to understand whether the company actually suffered any tangible financial loss in this situation, and I do not find imposing a harsh 30% penalty on a $166 payment to be fair or justified. I believe this practice creates severe dissatisfaction for consumers. I plan to file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board; furthermore, I have completely deleted the Enuygun application from my phone and advise everyone to remain cautious regarding these unexpected deductions.

I demand that Enuygun.com review the 30% penalty applied to this reservation and refund the withheld amount of $50 back to me.
