Emerald Chat Banned Me For No Reason Then Tried to Make Me Pay to Get Unbanned
I got a 24-hour ban on Emerald just to spam some arbitrary letters—nothing dangerous, just having fun. However, what caught me off guard was that they offered me a fast unbanned option just after the ban—if I paid $6. In essence, then, someone who commits something worse can also pay to get back in? That seems hardly like a fair system at all. It feels more like a means of making additional money off of bans than it does about maintaining the site safe. A proper moderation system should really enforce guidelines, not let people purchase their way around. To be honest, Emerald feels a little underwhelmed by this entire arrangement.
