Electrolux 10-Year Motor Warranty Denied

Electrolux 10-Year Motor Warranty Denied

I purchased the unit on September 20, 2018. On February 23, 2026, the machine malfunctioned; I called the authorized service center in Sancaktepe, and they diagnosed a motor failure. Since the appliance prominently displays "10-Year Motor Warranty" I asked if it was covered; I was told that coverage applied only if I had registered via email. I was instructed to contact customer service regarding this and paid a ₺700 service fee. I sent an email explaining the situation on February 23, 2026. I finally received a reply on March 17, 2026, stating that there was no record of a motor warranty extension or campaign registration. Such a flimsy excuse is unacceptable. I have my invoice and all documentation; you boldly advertise a "10-year motor warranty" on the front of the machine to vouch for its durability, yet you expect me to follow an email registration procedure to claim it. Suppose I were someone uneducated who couldn't use the internet—how would I have sent you an email? Furthermore, what is the need for such a procedure? You already document the sale when you issue the invoice. After receiving this negative response, I had no choice but to call the Sancaktepe service center and ask them to proceed with the repair. To their credit, they came and fixed it for ₺9,500 but they did not deduct the initial service fee I had already paid. In short, a repair that should have been free ended up costing me ₺10,200. I am lodging a formal complaint against Electrolux and the Sancaktepe Electrolux service center, and I demand a refund of the expenses I incurred. I will also submit this same complaint to CİMER (I have all correspondence and documents in my possession).
