Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni Keeps Failing After Four Repairs

On September 2, 2025, I purchased an Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni robot vacuum from MediaMarkt for $1,221. The invoice number is 0MS2025000020053. Since the day I purchased the device, I have been unable to use it reliably or consistently despite contacting the service center four times regarding the same recurring problems, and I am now sending the product in for service for the fifth time. In my first service request, dated November 13, 2025, the device was sent in because of a wheel jam issue, and I was informed that the mainboard had been replaced and general inspections had been performed. After that repair, new problems began, including mop entanglement, dirty water tank/container errors, and the inability to transfer dirty water from the robot to the station's dirty water tank. My second, third, and fourth service records, dated June 24, 2026, August 3, 2026, and September 10, 2026, all documented the same mop and dirty water problems. However, each time, the service notes stated either that no fault was detected or that only cleaning and general testing had been performed. The robot is completely unable to empty its dirty water tank at the station. In particular, when I start a cleaning task after manually emptying the dirty water tank on the robot, the robot leaves the station appearing to have a full tank because it cannot transfer the dirty water to the station. It then gives an error shortly afterward and stops mopping, making the mopping function effectively unusable. When I manually empty the tank, the task can temporarily continue, but this does not provide a permanent solution. Screenshots of the “roller mop entangled” and “robot dirty water box error” warnings displayed in the app, photographs showing the condition of the tank and station, and videos I recorded are concrete evidence of the malfunction I have experienced. On June 24, 2026, I personally delivered the device to the service center using my own vehicle. It was shipped back on July 21, 2026, and I received it on July 23, 2026. When I first operated the device, I immediately found that the same malfunction was still present. On July 24, 2026, I was asked to send the device back again, and I did so on July 25, 2026. The device was shipped back to me around August 14, 2026, but because I was on vacation, I was not able to operate it until August 30, 2026, at which point I encountered exactly the same problem again. Following the service center's instructions on September 11, 2026, I sent the device in once more, and it was shipped back to me on September 22, 2026. Despite this, the problem continued, and the device is still displaying the same errors. Separately from these service visits, I have repeatedly reported the malfunctions to Ecovacs through its WhatsApp support line and maintained extensive correspondence with the support team. I followed all recommended cleaning, maintenance, and reset procedures multiple times, and I also purchased and replaced the original mop. Despite all of these efforts, the malfunction could not be resolved. Because the symptoms I reported were not properly evaluated and I was repeatedly given troubleshooting instructions that did not resolve the underlying problem, the resolution process was unnecessarily prolonged and the device was never actually repaired. The second and third service reports contain no record of any part replacement or specific repair addressing the dirty water drainage problem. The fourth service report only mentions cleaning and general testing, but it does not provide any test result confirming that the transfer of dirty water to the station and the complete mopping cycle were successfully tested together. Therefore, I would like to state clearly that no repair was performed that permanently resolved the malfunction at issue and that the product has repeatedly been returned to me while still defective. From the date of purchase through this complaint, more than a year has passed during which I have had to deal with repeated service and support procedures, while I have been unable to consistently obtain the basic benefit I expected from the device. Pursuant to Articles 8, 11, and 56 of Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and Article 9 of the Regulation on Warranty Certificates, I hereby exercise my right to rescind the purchase as one of my statutory consumer rights due to the recurring and unresolved defect during the warranty period, and I request that the product be recognized as defective and that the $1,221 purchase price I paid be refunded to me. I also request that my WhatsApp correspondence be reviewed together with the relevant service records and that the dates on which I reported the malfunctions be taken into account when calculating the applicable periods.
