Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni Failed With Bumper and Sensor Errors
My Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni robot vacuum stopped working about a month ago after showing a “bumper stuck” warning. It also fell down the stairs due to a cliff sensor error. I live in a three-story house and cannot use the device because of these issues. After the problem occurred, I contacted Ecovacs customer service and requested a replacement part for the bumper, but they told me they do not provide spare parts and directed me to send the product to the technical service. I wrote to the technical service via WhatsApp, and they told me “the system will open after August 15, write again then.” Even though I contacted them again after that date, I received no response. I wait 30–45 minutes on customer service calls without an answer. The product is under warranty and was given to me as a gift, so I don’t have purchase platform information. I request that my grievance be resolved and that the product be replaced to avoid facing the same issue again. This afternoon I finally managed to reach customer service, and they asked me to send the device, giving me a shipping code. On the shipping note, there was an additional message stating that if the product is not under warranty or if no fault is found, the service and shipping costs will be charged to me, with the current price being ₺1,300.
I shipped the product, it will be in the company's hands tomorrow, and I have informed them as well. I will wait for the inspection via the service WhatsApp line. I am really surprised—I can't understand how a robot vacuum can fall down the stairs. Robot vacuums are supposed to be suitable for large houses, especially since there is a multi-story house option. I am using the product with this option, and that's why there are height sensors. I really can't understand how the device first gives a height sensor warning and then immediately goes down the stairs right after. I hope they help and I don't experience any more problems.
