Economy Car Rentals Refused My Refund After Rental Denial
I made a prepaid car rental reservation through Economy Car Rentals with reservation number EC245A7B for a company listed as Inside at Vnukovo Airport.
When I arrived at the airport, I discovered that the rental company was actually Europcar, not the company shown in my reservation. There was no rental office for the original company at the airport, and I was ultimately refused the vehicle because I did not have a Russian-issued credit card.
Despite being unable to receive the rental car, Economy Car Rentals has refused to issue a refund for my prepaid reservation. This experience feels extremely misleading. Customers should be informed about requirements such as a local credit card before paying in advance. Based on my experience, I will never book a rental car through Economy Car Rentals again.
