Domestika Charged An Unwanted Annual Membership Fee and Won't Refund
On October 21, 2025, Domestika charged my credit card an unauthorized annual membership fee of ₺5,790 ($138). On September 20, 2025, I had purchased three courses totaling ₺87, and during that purchase, I was unknowingly enrolled in a trial period. I only realized this when I saw the large amount charged to my card on October 21. As shown in the attached screenshots, a Plus membership was automatically added even though I did not select it. Since Domestika does not clearly indicate that such a membership is being added, there is no reason to check the orders section on the website. The related email also arrived in my spam folder during the last week. Moreover, different prices are displayed in the images, yet another amount was charged to my card. I do not accept this charge, which was made without my consent, especially since I have not yet completed my courses. I contacted Domestika customer service on October 23, 2025, to request a refund but was informed that refunds are not processed and are only available to some Latin American countries, excluding Turkey. There is no email address to reach them, and their system clearly states that direct refunds will not be processed. My order number is C50229508T32803255. I live in Istanbul, and this is the first time I have faced such an issue. I demand that my membership be canceled and the ₺5,790 ($138) charge refunded immediately.
