I live in Cyprus, and I’ve been trying to purchase Discord Nitro using a locally issued card. Every time I attempt to pay, the amount is deducted from my card, but shortly after, I receive a message saying “Payment not approved”—and the money gets refunded about an hour later.
This has happened multiple times, and I still haven’t been able to successfully purchase Nitro. I’ve made sure there are sufficient funds on the card, and the card works fine on other platforms. The issue seems to be specific to Discord’s payment system.
I need clear guidance on how to complete a Nitro purchase from Cyprus. If local cards aren’t supported, please let users know upfront or offer an alternative method that actually works.
I’m asking Discord support to step in and resolve this issue. Many users from Cyprus are likely facing the same problem, and it’s extremely frustrating to see the transaction fail after the charge goes through.
