Deliveroo Blamed Me for a Missed Delivery and Refused to Refund My Order
I ordered from Deliveroo and came away disappointed and hungry. The driver never showed up, but later I got a notice that my food couldn't be delivered since I "didn't answer the door." This is ridiculous; every delivery has to be buzzed in through a clear intercom system and I live in a gated neighbourhood with a concierge. Expecting them to fix the problem, I immediately called customer support. Rather, they insisted it was somehow my responsibility and blamed me, not refunding the money. Following hours of back-and-forth, I had to contest the charge through my bank to get my money back. It is very unacceptable for Deliveroo to ignore their consumers and lack responsibility.
