I am writing regarding an unrecognized payment made through my GCash account (mobile number 090930881**). On October 25, 2026, at around 5:20 PM, an amount of ₱699 was charged to a merchant named Starread Technology Limited. The transaction details shown in my GCash history are as follows: Merchant Transaction Number AD2114285928605097984 and Reference Number 416529825. I only noticed this payment on October 25, 2026, when I reviewed my transaction history, and I do not recognize this merchant or any app or service related to it. I have already contacted GCash support about this issue, but I still do not have a clear explanation of what this transaction is and which app or service actually received the payment. I am concerned that this may be an unauthorized or accidental charge linked to my account. I kindly request that you investigate this ₱699 payment in detail, identify which specific app or service received the amount, and confirm whether this transaction is legitimate. If it is found to be unauthorized or fraudulent, I am asking for guidance on how to properly dispute it through your system and to have the amount refunded to my GCash account. In addition, I request that you take the necessary steps to secure my GCash account and prevent any similar unauthorized charges in the future, such as advising me on any settings, blocks, or account actions that should be taken.
