Decathlon Sent Me Domyos EL 540 But Refused to Install It or Offer Support


On May 15, 2025, we ordered the Domyos EL 540 Elliptical Bike from Decathlon's website with order number TR3541326324 and subsequently requested installation. We were told we would be contacted within five business days for setup. As of May 26, there has been no progress, so we submitted a second request. A customer service representative named Ms. P**** (from 0850 532 33 22) informed us—rather rudely—that Decathlon does not handle installations directly and that a company called Intersport would be responsible. When we asked why this was not clearly stated on their website, we received no proper explanation. She ended the conversation by saying, “You can handle it with the other company; I’ll give you their number,” and refused to connect us with a supervisor. She only offered the option to return the product. When we tried calling another representative, we were left waiting on hold for an unreasonably long time. Based on this experience, we strongly advise against purchasing any Decathlon products that require installation or service. We are still looking for someone brave enough to set up the product.
