Decathlon Refused to Sell a Replacement Lid for My Thermos

On May 31, 2025, I purchased a thermos from the Decathlon store located in Viaport Shopping Mall. I have been very satisfied with the product and have enjoyed using it regularly. Unfortunately, the lid of the thermos recently broke, making the product difficult or impossible to use properly.
Since the thermos itself remains in good condition and only the lid has been damaged, I did not want to replace the entire product. Instead, I visited the store and requested either a replacement lid or the option to purchase the lid as a spare part.
When I explained the situation to store employees, I was informed that Decathlon does not provide replacement lids or spare parts for this thermos model and that they could not assist me further. I was disappointed to learn that a product can become unusable because of a single damaged component that cannot be replaced.
Having to discard an otherwise functional thermos simply because the lid is broken is both economically wasteful and environmentally unfriendly. Consumers should be able to obtain replacement parts for commonly damaged components, especially for products designed for long-term use.
I respectfully request that Decathlon make a compatible replacement lid available for my thermos model, even if it must be purchased separately. I would appreciate a practical solution that allows me to continue using the product rather than replacing the entire thermos due to a single broken part.
