Couchsurfing Says “Membership Not Active” Even After Payment
On August 27, 2025, I purchased a membership through the Couchsurfing website by making a $5 payment. After the payment, I was able to log in only twice and set up my profile information. However, for about a week now, whenever I try to log in again, I receive a warning message saying, “Your membership does not appear to be active. Please make another payment.” But I’ve already paid for my membership, and I still have the payment receipt (Couchsurfing internal reference: 0133744).
I contacted customer service via email, and they told me that I should now be able to access my account. However, I still can’t log in, and my membership remains inactive. I urgently request that this issue be resolved and my membership reactivated.
I’m experiencing this issue through the Chrome browser, and I kindly ask for your assistance.
