Continental EcoContact 6 Tires Developed Tread Separation and Uneven Wear
Our 2025 BMW X3 20d xDrive came from the factory equipped with original-equipment Continental EcoContact 6 Q tires, marked with the BMW star approval, in size 245/50 R19 105Y XL FR. The tires have developed tread separation and uneven wear. They have been used under normal driving conditions and have not been subjected to any impact, accident-related use, or unusual intervention.
For this reason, I left the tires at Borusan Oto Çayyolu BMW Service Center in Ankara on August 31, 2026, for inspection. Since I believe the tread separation and uneven wear may be related to a manufacturing defect, I request that you take this matter seriously, review the photos I have provided, and replace my tires with new tires of another model that is suitable for this vehicle.
Because this issue directly affects vehicle safety, I request that it be evaluated under the applicable warranty and manufacturing responsibility provisions and that I receive a prompt written response regarding the outcome of the inspection.
