KGM Denies Warranty Support for Chronic Tire Defect on New Electric Vehicle
I took delivery of my brand-new 2026 KGM Torres EVX on July 31, 2026, from Bodrum Özpam Otomotiv. The first time I drove the vehicle on a wet road, it skidded and swerved side to side while braking. Furthermore, I noticed that the stopping distance is significantly longer than normal, even during everyday driving on flat roads.
When I researched this issue, I found that many owners of the same electric vehicle model complain about a chronic tire flaw, with numerous identical reports across online forums. However, when I attempted to request a tire replacement, I learned that the company no longer accepts tire replacement claims for these new vehicles and expects me to drive the car as-is.
I find this situation completely unacceptable because it poses a major safety risk to me and everyone else on the road. Compromised braking and handling on a brand-new car deeply concerns me. I demand that an authorized service center thoroughly inspect the vehicle's brakes and tires, resolve the chronic tire issue, and complete all necessary repairs—including a tire replacement if required—at zero cost to me.
Given this serious safety hazard, I expect the brand to prioritize customer safety and deliver a permanent, satisfactory solution.
