I Want a Refund for Unauthorized OpenAI Charges
On 05/04/2026 at around 3:19 PM, I noticed that four separate transactions of $12 each, totaling $48, were made through OpenAI from my Ziraat Bank credit card within very short intervals, without my knowledge or approval. During these transactions, I did not make any purchase or subscription through OpenAI or any other platform. These charges were made completely without my knowledge.
I only received notifications from my bank stating that $12 transactions had been made by OpenAI, but I was not performing any transaction at that time. This situation created a serious security concern that my credit card information may have been used without authorization and that unauthorized transactions may have been made through my account.
As soon as I noticed the issue, I immediately called my bank, canceled my credit card, and started a dispute process through the bank for the charged amounts. However, because of these unauthorized transactions, I suffered financial inconvenience and began to feel serious concern about my card and account security.
I request that OpenAI refund the total $48 charged from my credit card as soon as possible and conduct a detailed investigation into all possible unauthorized transactions that may be associated with my email address, g*****************@gmail.com. I also request a clear written explanation of what security checks are being applied to prevent such unauthorized transactions from happening again and the result of this investigation.
