Dijitsu Fan Warranty Woes at Carrefour - 10 Months & No Resolution
On July 19, 2023, I purchased a Dijitsu tower fan from Carrefour. However, after using it for about 2-3 months, the device malfunctioned. I sent the device to Elif Technical authorized service center in Bursa under warranty. In November, they kept us waiting for 5 months, claiming that a part was broken and awaiting replacement. Finally, the technical service issued a report stating that the part couldn't be sourced and the product needed to be replaced. I contacted Carrefour to request either a replacement or a refund based on the current value of the product. They claimed they didn't have the item in their inventory and offered a refund based on the original purchase price. I refused this, as the current price of the product is now ₺10,000. They offered ₺2200 since they couldn't provide the ₺10,000 product. It's impossible to find a similar product at this price. The poor quality product, terrible customer service (keeping us waiting for months without updates), and the unfair practice of the store have left us severely disappointed. Think twice before buying a digital product from Carrefour. It's been almost 10 months, and neither the technical service nor the store has addressed my issue. I hope relevant authorities step in to resolve this problem. By the way, I lodged a complaint against the store with the Consumer Arbitration Board a few days ago.
