Carrefour Charged Me More Than te Shelf Price

On August 20, 2025, I purchased İçim Petso cooking cream from Carrefour. Although the shelf label showed ₺39.95, I was charged ₺51 at the checkout. I noticed the price difference by scanning the barcode with the TÜBİTAK market prices app and checking my receipt. I have frequently encountered such price discrepancies at the same store before. When I reported the issue to the store manager, the only explanation given was, “We forgot to change the label.” However, I believe this is a systematic problem that causes many customers to be misled. As consumers, we are not employees of the company and should not have to detect mistakes and errors ourselves. We want to shop safely and without being deceived. I paid by credit card, with a total purchase of ₺286. I demand compensation for my grievance, a refund of the overcharged amount, and accountability for such practices. I also expect the company to act more transparently and responsibly toward consumers. Furthermore, I request that the Ministry of Consumer Protection, Şişli Municipality, and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality conduct inspections and carry out effective and efficient oversight to protect consumer rights.
