BYD Seal U DM-i Makes Clicking Noises From the Brakes
I purchased my 2025 BYD Seal U DM-i about three months ago, and since then I have been experiencing several unusual noise-related issues. When I took the vehicle to the service center, I was told that the clicking sound I hear when pressing the brake pedal is caused by the regenerative braking system and is considered normal. However, after speaking with several other BYD owners who drive the same model, I learned that they do not experience this sound in their vehicles. For that reason, I am not convinced that this noise is a normal operating characteristic.
In addition, after I park the vehicle, I hear intermittent clicking noises coming from the front-right side of the car. I have not been given any technical explanation for the source of these sounds, which raises concerns about the vehicle's safety and reliability.
I request that BYD perform a detailed inspection of both the brake-related noise and the clicking sound from the front-right area after parking. I also ask that all necessary technical checks be carried out carefully and that the results be provided to me in writing.
