Bybit Fails to Provide Clear Recovery Options After Email Loss
I am writing regarding an old Bybit account that I can no longer access and for which I am seeking recovery assistance. I registered this account from Nigeria and primarily used it for spot trading, savings, and P2P trading. Unfortunately, I have lost access to the email address that was used to create the account, and I no longer remember that email address because it was created and used directly on my phone at the time of registration. I also no longer have the UID or any transaction records related to the account.
The only concrete information I still have that is linked to the account is my BVN, which I used for identity verification when the account was created. To the best of my recollection, the account was opened sometime in 2023 or 2024. I later lost both the account access and the phone I was using at the time, which is why I no longer have access to the registered email address or any records from the Bybit application.
At the time I lost access, there was still approximately $200 USD remaining in the account, which makes this situation particularly urgent and concerning for me. I would like to recover this Bybit account and update the registered email address to a new one so that I can log in again and properly manage my funds and account activity.
I am fully prepared to provide my BVN and any other personal information required to verify my identity and confirm that I am the rightful owner of the account. I kindly request clear guidance on the steps I should follow and information on what alternative verification methods are available, given that I no longer have access to the original email address or transaction history. I look forward to your assistance in helping me regain access to my account, recover the remaining balance, and update the email address after successful verification.
