I paid about £2 for a quiz Brainety promoted at the beginning of the year. I assumed it was only a one-time occurrence, but before I knew it I had spent €120 after they surreptitiously started me on a regular membership without my permission. Realizing what was happening, I called their support crew to cancel the membership and get my money returned. Rather than fixing the problem, the agent haggled with me offering to keep as much of the money as possible. I expressed my clear desire for all of my money returned. Eventually they decided to go half, but nothing happened. Months later, I followed up only to find, despite their earlier assurance, it was now "too late" to handle any reimbursement. I protested more, but Brainety wouldn't move. Their dishonest and annoying approach of treating this matter makes me feel totally deceived.
